The 11th Annual Levine Children’s Gala in Charlotte, N.C., successfully raised over $3 million on March 29, 2025, to support Atrium Health Levine Children’s Hospital. The event, supported notably by The David and Nicole Tepper Foundation, gathered nearly 600 attendees to celebrate and promote the hospital’s mission. Embracing the theme "Where hope shines," the gala aimed to underline the community's involvement in ensuring a hopeful future for patients in the Charlotte area.
The event, hosted for the fourth consecutive year at the Carolina Panthers and Charlotte FC's home, welcomed celebrities, athletes, philanthropists, and community leaders, alongside representatives of Atrium Health and Levine Children’s.
The evening began with a heart transplant recipient from Levine Children’s leading the Wingate University marching band in a musical performance. Emmy-nominated Erin Andrews, who is a FOX Sports broadcaster and community advocate, was the host for the evening, acknowledging significant supporters such as The David and Nicole Tepper Foundation, Leon Levine Family, The HEARTest Yard/The Greg Olsen Foundation, The Hendrick Family Foundation, and PNC Bank.
David and Nicole Tepper shared: “As a foundation that cares deeply for the families Atrium Health serves throughout the Greater Charlotte area, we want every child’s future to shine brightly. Levine Children’s Hospital is all about investing in the future of our region’s patients and care teams – and the impactful resource it represents for our community.”
Beverly “Bevie” Hemby, a board member of Atrium Health Foundation, was recognized with the Leon Levine Champion of Hope award for her extensive advocacy and volunteer work with Levine Children’s.
During the event, Erin Andrews and Greg Olsen, a national sportscaster and former Carolina Panthers player, interviewed children who shared their experiences of receiving vital care at Levine Children’s. Motivated by these accounts of hope and resilience, attendees contributed generously in the bid paddle raise, supported by matching gifts from Oaklore Distilling Company and Bojangles, setting record amounts.
The gala concluded with a performance by Questlove, a musician, DJ, producer, and the drummer for the Grammy-winning group The Roots.
